Accident lands vehicle in water

Cook’s Hill resident, Corletta Thomas is hospitalized with injuries to her shoulders and neck after her vehicle went over the bridge by the roundabout near the Vivian Richards cricket ground.
The police say the accident occurred on Friday night around 11.30.
They say she has reported that her brakes failed just as she approached the roundabout.
She lost control of the vehicle, it struck the right side of the bridge and flipped over, landing on its top.
The Head of the Police Traffic Department, Superintendent Leonard Cabral says that was one of nine road accidents Friday night.
It was also the most serious.
 
BACKGROUND
A vehicle was recovered from a watercourse in the North Sound area in Antigua this morning.
Police reported the accident only resulted in minor injuries.
