The police have released the Barbuda political hopeful after questioning him for two days on suspicion of conspiring with other people to commit murder.
The man, whose name is withheld, was neither charged nor advised of any charges to come.
A source close to the matter says he was released on Monday and is already back on the sister isle. The man spent the weekend at Police Headquarters for questioning in relation to an incident that occurred some time this month.
He was detained after investigations revealed that around the time of a recent crime, he was in Antigua and had rented a car allegedly used to commit the crime.
The police source close to the matter says so far, the only evidence obtained, shows the political hopeful rented the car the morning after the incident.
