Antigua and Barbuda will not be competing in the anticipated 4×1 meters relay at the ongoing World Championships in London.

This after the country’s team was hit by injury with two of five athletes being ruled out by doctors.

Confirmation has come from coach Carl Casey that sprinters Cejhae Greene and Richardson Richardson will not be able to take the track.

Greene, Casey said, picked up a strain during his run in the 100 meters finals which Richardson was injured during training. Richardson’s injury required stitches.
This leaves only three athetes in Daniel Bailey, Tahir Walsh and Chevaughn Walsh. At least four runners are required for the relay.

Casey will.make an appearance on the Good Morning Jojo Sports Show today when he will give more details on the condition of the athletes.
