The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority’s (ABTA’s) push to brand the nation as a major honeymoon and romance destination received a boost yesterday, as its CEO, Colin James sat down with Florida television station NBC-6’s Jen Herrera as part of its ‘Ultimate Honeymoon Sweepstakes’ promotion.
Antigua and Barbuda was one of the featured destinations — which included Dominica, St. Lucia and Grenada, hosted by ‘6 In the Mix’, South Florida’s only live local entertainment and lifestyle programme.
The five-week television marketing campaign will display the twin island through a mix of 30-second on-air promotional spots on both NBC-6 and COZI TV; honeymoon destination banners; and customised content on NBC-6 digital platforms, including the NBC-6 honeymoon webpage.
The campaign also included an in-studio interview with James, which will officially air today, and uploaded and carried on NBC-6.com for 12 months.
