The National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) in collaboration with several local businesses and service organizations will, later today dispatch a 40 container of relief supplies to Saint Vincent.
The items being shipped include generators, small cots and bedding to include sheets and blankets, water and water tanks.
NODS Director Philmore Mullin said that the water supply of the country, which is currently grappling with a volcanic eruption, has severely decreased to about 20 percent due to the contamination of ash in rivers and other natural water sources.

He added that getting water to the residents is a main priority.
