(Looptt.com) – The Ministry of Health is reporting that 34 people have been tested for the novel coronavirus (COVID –19) in Trinidad and Tobago. None of those tested have had a positive reading for the potentially fatal virus.
The Ministry is also reminding members of the public that the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) has the only laboratory certified to test for COVID-19.
Warning against the spread of fake news regarding diagnoses of the virus, the Ministry of Health says all information regarding testing of coronavirus will come through their official channels.
They’re also reminding citizens to take personal hygiene seriously as simple measures like proper handwashing techniques, covering your nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing and avoiding touching your face, can help to guard against the spread of the virus. You should also stay at home if you are sick.
