Thirteen teams will battle it out in the 2019 edition of the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association (ABAVA) Business League.
Defending champions Jumby Bay will seek to gain back-to-back titles but will receive tough competition from Antigua Commercial Bank (ACB), APUA, Eastern Caribbean Amalgamated Bank (ECAB), Media, Inland Revenue Department (IRD), Sandals, Medical Benefits/Social Security (MEDSO), Scotia Bank, 77 Bus Service, Police – along with newbies, Zamine Shipping Services and Crossroads Center.
ABITT, Island Provision, Cliff Hangers and MFACS will not compete in this year’s competition.
The league will spike off with an opening ceremony and Ball-o-rama on September 21st at 6:00 p.m. at the YMCA Volleyball Indoor facility.
Games will, however, officially begin at 6:30 p.m on September 25th and will be played on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays in a round-robin format.
Registration is $300. Forms and fees are due before the start of the league.
