Zara puts twist on Sasha’s song

Dat Sexy Body, a hit song for singer Sasha in 2003, has a new lease on life after being sampled by Swedish teen sensation, Zara Larrson.

The 19-year-old’s hit single, I Would Like, borrows from Dat Sexy Body. It has done well in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Released last November by Sony Music Entertainment, I Would Like has been certified gold in the United Kingdom for sales of 400,000; Denmark (30,000 copies); New Zealand (15,000) and Poland (10,000).
It has sold platinum in Australia (70,000) and Sweden (40,000).
The song topped the Belgian national chart and peaked at number two in the UK. It made the top 10 in Ireland, Scotland and Sweden.
Dat Sexy Body was released in 1998 on producer Tony Kelly’s Bookshelf rhythm.
Five years later, it reached number 78 on the Billboard R&B /Hip Hop Songs chart.
