Miami rapper Pitbull adds some Jamaican flavour to his 10th studio album Climate Change, which was released last Friday by RCA Records.
The 12-track set features Stephen Marley on Options. A video for that song was shot at several locations in Kingston including the Bob Marley Museum and Tuff Gong recording studio.
Sexy Body, another song from Climate Change, is a collaboration with Jennifer Lopez. It samples singer Sasha’s Dat Sexy Body, originally produced by Tony Kelly.
Miami-based rapper LunchMoney Lewis, son of Inner Circle bassist Ian Lewis, is on the song Greenlight which peaked at number 95 on the Billboard Hot 100 last year.
The 36-year-old Pitbull has dabbled with dancehall before. He sampled Murder She Wrote by Chaka Demus and Pliers on his 2014 single El Taxi.
The video for Options is directed by Gil Green, known for his work with hip-hop and dancehall acts.
Green directed Elephant Man’s Jook Gal and Pon De River, Pon De Bank; TOK’s Gal Yuh A Lead and Ky-Mani Marley’s One Time.
