Pares man found dead

Police are investigating the death of a Pares Village man who was discovered dead at his home yesterday morning.
Lawmen said that 33-year-old Michael Matthew was last seen alive and well on Saturday night, when he retired for bed, however when his mother went to check on him yesterday morning she found him unresponsive.
The Emergency Medical Services was summoned, but when they arrived Matthew had already died.
Matthew, also known as ‘S.P’ or ‘Styles P,’ is known to have mental challenges and was on medication, according to residents.
Lawmen said yesterday that foul play is not suspected and they would have to await the results of a post-mortem examination to determine if a criminal investigation would have to be launched.
One of Matthew’s friends, who wished to remain anonymous, described the deceased as quiet and respectful, adding that the Pares Village man had both good and bad days due to a medical condition.
He added that Matthew last attended the Pares Secondary School and would frequently hang out on the main road not far from his alma mater.
