Major car stealing ring discovered by the Police in St Catherine

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Police are informing that they have uncovered a major car stealing ring operating in Hartland district, Spanish Town in St Catherine during a joint Police /Military operation on Monday, March 9.

Reports from the Spanish Town Police are that on Friday, March 6, a Toyota Rav4 was reported stolen from the St. John’s Heights area in the parish. This led Police to a place where the Rav4 was identified. A further search revealed other scrapped motor vehicles, with their parts scattered on the premises.

Senior Superintendent in charge of the Division, Marlon Nesbeth congratulated the team and also encouraged members of the public to come forward and report criminal activities to the Police, “I am pleading with the residents to come forward; don’t allow criminals to find refuge in your community. We can only rid this nation of crime if we as citizens work together with the Police and report crimes.
