The young man of the Antigua Grammar School who was injured in a fight over the weekend has been identified as Jaheim Ferron.
According to a relative, the 16-year-old is still hospitalised in the Intensive Care Unit, on life support and in a coma.
In a Facebook post this morning, his God-mother Arlene Josiah is asking the nation to pray for him.
The woman is also lamenting violence among the youth, as she called for a national day of prayer and for parents to teach their offspring to love and appreciate each other.
Josiah is also thanking the staff at Mount St John’s Medical Centre for the care and treatment to her Godson who she says remains hooked up to the life support machine.
She is further appealing to the victim’s immediate family to forgive the 15 year old who allegedly injured him and who was in police custody up to last evening.
According to the police, Ferron and the younger teen had an argument on the basketball court in Villa on Saturday and Ferron was struck on the head. He was rushed to hospital in an unconscious state.
