Greene gets bronze at SEC championships

National sprinter Cejhae Greene continues to show progress on the international circuit after capturing 100 meters bronze at the 2017 SEC (South Eastern Conference) Outdoor Championships held at Columbia Southern University’s Sheila & Morris Cregger Track over the weekend.
The Georgia State University athlete clocked 10.20 seconds to pick up the welcomed medal but was beaten to the finish by Tennessee’s Christian Coleman who clocked 9.97 seconds to win gold and Louisiana State University’s
(LSU) Nathaniel Mitchell-Blake who won silver in a time of 9.99 seconds.
Meanwhile, former national sprinter, Miguel Francis, captured gold in the 200 meters event at the JAAA (Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association) All-Comers Meet held at the Jamaica National Stadium on Saturday.
The sprinter, who has switched his allegiance to run for Great Britain, recovered from a slow start to clock 20.46 seconds and finish just ahead Rasheed Dwyer who captured silver in a time of 20.60 seconds.
Oshane Bailey rounded off the top three positions with a time of 20.93 seconds while Michael Campbell was fourth in a time of 21.10 seconds.
