First time entrants top Junior Jumpy Soca competition

Two first time entrants have topped last evening’s Junior Jumpy Soca competition.

14-year- old Taeco O’Garro aka Psycho, took home the winner’s trophy with his rendition ‘Dance, Scratch and Wink Up’ in this year’s soca jumpy competition. He was also adjudged the most cooperative performer and Best Stage performer.

The first timer was trailed in second place by another first time entrant – Soca Villan – 16-year- old Allakai Samuel with his rendition ‘Movie Star’.

Third runner up position went to Kid Vicious – 16-year- old, Tyreke Lewis. This is his second time competing. He sang a song entitled ‘Rise Above Hate’.

Meanwhile, the prize for the most punctual went to Deh Mighty BC Ten-year- old Ge’eve Philip aka Baby Eve retained her title in the Soca Groovy category with her rendition ‘My Music’.

Deh Mytee BC- 13 yrs Brian Chase came in second with his song ‘Tek WaYou Get’.

Kid Vicious -16-year- old Tyreke Lewis followed in third position with a song entitled ‘Too Young ‘ In the Calypso competition category age 5 to 12, 11-year- old Rika Jackson aka Little Miss took home the winner’s trophy, with her rendition ‘Slavery’.
