An official says a new approach is needed to grow tourism

Chairman of the ruling Free National Movement in the Bahamas Sidney Collie says there needs to be a rethink of tourism to keep the sector growing.

Collie says Antigua and Barbuda and the rest of the region are now competing with many more players in the global industry.

Collie says the Bahamas is focusing on new areas of tourism.

Collie says the Caribbean is losing its competitive advantage.
